Your spiritual journey begins with a morning pickup from Chandigarh in a comfortable Taxi or Tempo Traveller. As you leave the plains behind, the landscape gradually transforms into the breathtaking Himalayan foothills. Travel through the scenic routes of Rishikesh and Devprayag, where the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers unite to form the holy River Ganga. Continue your drive past the famous Panch Prayag confluences, enjoying panoramic mountain views, river valleys, and charming hill towns. After an early breakfast, drive to Govindghat, the base point of the Hemkund Sahib pilgrimage. Begin your trek along a beautifully maintained mountain trail that follows the roaring Lakshman Ganga River. The route passes through dense forests, waterfalls, suspension bridges, and spectacular Himalayan scenery. Pilgrims who prefer not to trek can hire ponies, palkis, or helicopter services (subject to availability). Reach Ghangaria by afternoon, a peaceful mountain village that serves as the base camp for both Hemkund Sahib and the Valley of Flowers. Spend the evening relaxing amidst the fresh mountain air. Wake up before sunrise and begin your trek to the sacred Sri Hemkund Sahib, situated at an altitude of approximately 4,329 metres (14,200 feet). The uphill trail rewards you with magnificent views of snow-covered peaks, alpine flowers, and crystal-clear streams. On reaching Hemkund Sahib, offer your prayers at the revered Gurudwara and spend peaceful moments beside the pristine glacial lake, surrounded by seven majestic Himalayan peaks. After breakfast, trek back to Govindghat while enjoying the final views of the lush Himalayan valley. Meet your driver and continue towards Joshimath. Guests who wish can extend their spiritual journey with a visit to the sacred Badrinath Temple, one of the four Char Dham shrines. Take blessings at the temple, visit Tapt Kund, and admire the magnificent Neelkanth Peak before returning to Joshimath for the night (or stay in Badrinath depending on your package). After breakfast, begin your return journey to Chandigarh. Drive through the picturesque Garhwal Himalayas, passing rivers, valleys, and charming mountain villages.
