Start early for Janki Chatti, the base point for the Yamunotri trek. Pilgrims can trek, hire ponies, palkis, or pithus to reach the sacred Yamunotri Temple, dedicated to Goddess Yamuna. Take blessings, visit the Surya Kund hot spring, and enjoy the peaceful Himalayan surroundings. After darshan, descend back to Janki Chatti and return to Barkot. Today enjoy one of the most scenic drives of the journey. Arrive in Uttarkashi, a beautiful pilgrimage town situated along the Bhagirathi River. Visit the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple, one of the oldest Shiva temples in Uttarakhand. Spend the evening exploring the peaceful riverside markets. Overnight Stay: Uttarkashi.

Drive through dense forests, waterfalls, and spectacular Himalayan valleys to reach Gangotri, the sacred origin of the River Ganga. Take a holy dip (if weather permits), seek blessings at Gangotri Temple, and spend peaceful moments beside the roaring Bhagirathi River. On the return journey, stop at the charming Harsil Valley, famous for apple orchards and breathtaking mountain scenery. Return to Uttarkashi.
